This moment is a gateway to the series’ time travel element, transitioning the setting to Seoul of 2024. The released stills amplify the mystery, capturing Chae-ok at a critical juncture and suggesting a season brimming with enigmatic events and connections. Director Chung Dong-yoon shares his vision for this new chapter, stating, “Season 2 presents a story with a completely different charm. The change in space and time period will provide a clear distinction, offering an expanded universe feel.”

Season 1 captivated audiences worldwide with its unique blend of period drama and fantastical elements, earning high praise from international media. CNN hailed it as “[it] deserves to be a monster hit,” while TIME magazine noted, “it is also about the world we live in today.” Just 3 days after release, Season 1 gained a spot in the Global TOP 10(Non-English) to rise up to the third place and appear in the TOP 10 list of 69 countries across the globe including Brazil, Japan, Singapore, France, and Australia.

The suspense around the series is further fueled by the cliffhanger from Season 1’s finale and the anticipation of how the characters’ narratives will evolve. Actors, including Park Seo-jun and Han So-hee, have hinted at the deeper character developments and emotional depth of the upcoming season, continuing its legacy as a global sensation and delving into the mysteries of time travel and destiny.

'A Glimpse of Forever' Gives Fantasy Dates Via Virtual Reality

From Viva Films and Director Jason Paul Laxamana, the makers of “Expensive Candy”, “100 Tula

Para Kay Stella”, and “Just a Stranger”, come a romance-drama with an element of sci-fi movie,

“A Glimpse of Forever”, starring Jasmine Curtis-Smith as Glenda, Diego Loyzaga as Kokoy

“The Boy Next Door”, and Jerome Ponce as Dante.

Frustrated with her fiancé, Glenda tries to find companionship and cheer from a virtual dating

studio called ForeVR. She is presented with four types of virtual guys that she can choose to

date through Virtual Reality (VR): the Bad Boy, the Rich Guy, the Gigolo, and the Worker. To the

surprise of the staff, she picks the one that’s been removed from the choices due to low interest

from clients – The Boy Next Door.

When Kokoy aka “The Boy Next Door” appears before Glenda, his demeanor offended her.

Instead of being charming and likeable, this virtual guy is a bit too straightforward for comfort.

Luckily, he is able to redeem himself. Soon, he becomes the best friend that Glenda needs.

Dante is the guy behind The Boy Next Door character. A failed theater actor who suffers from

severe social anxiety, he finds work in ForeVR as a Motion Capture Actor, providing real-time

voice and movement for the virtual guy whom clients date. Because his face is never seen by

clients, Dante is able to show his exceptional acting skills and becomes the top motion capture

actor in ForeVR.

As Dante gets to know Glenda, he starts to fall for her. Glenda also can’t deny their connection,

but can this cross over to the real world? Motion capture actors are not allowed to reveal their

identities to ForeVR clients, and despite all the conflicts, Glenda is still very much in a

relationship.

ForeVR may be a safe haven for Glenda and Dante, but they can’t stay there forever. Each has

personal issues to sort out. When they do, will they have a forever kind of love beyond ForeVR?

The three lead stars have all been recognized for their acting skills. Jasmine Curtis-Smith has

won 10 awards in the last 10 years. This includes the Best Supporting Actress award at the

2018 FAP Awards and 2017 MMFF Awards for “Siargao”, Best Supporting Actress at the 2013

Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, and 2014 Breakthrough Performance by an Actress for

“Transit” at the Golden Screen Awards.

Diego Loyzaga was nominated for Best Actor at the 2023 Famas Awards for his performance in

“Greed”, while Jerome Ponce was nominated for Best Actor at the 2022 Famas Awards and 2023

FAP Awards for “Katips”.

See how authentic they portray their characters in “A Glimpse of Forever”. Opens in cinemas

nationwide on March 6, 2024.
