What I Learned in Rainbow's Sunset, an Official MMFF 2018 Entry

Love transcends race, socioeconomic status and age.

However, real gender exploration (hindi lang yung magkoconclude ka na bakla ka kaagad) is for the upper middle class and beyond. Ramoncito Estrella (is a former senator living in a mansion that spans acres of land while Fredo (Tony Mabesa) is a cancer-stricken former teacher who came from a well-to-do family but chose to live simply.

Imagine if Ramon was a taxi driver and Fredo was a street sweeper. Yes, they could possibly fall for each other but the plot of the movie would not happen since both would either be busy working hand to mouth or would be retirees but taking care of the children in their extended family, since they definitely wouldn't be able to afford yayas or have a horde of servants in the Estrella mansion.

As for Sylvia (Gloria Romero), aside from being totally in love with Ramon, the obvious reason she did not fight Fredo and just decided to just share the man she loves between them is because as someone from the upper class, like the usual upper class, a scandal would mean prying eyes. Had she been from the slums of Tondo, Fredo and Ramon would have been facing Raffy Tulfo time the moment they were discovered.

Aiko Melendez can be a great comedienne

Let's face it, she's been given romantic comedy roles when she was young like the usual pretty lass and handed out mother roles in dramatic films or TV shows. However, she should be given credit to have that pulse when it comes to comedy. Based on the trailer, I didn't expect that the other main conflict of the film, aside from Ramon's decision to cohabit with the dying Fredo in his octogenarian years, the squabble between Fredo's children Emman (Tirso Cruz III), Georgina (Aiko Melendez), and Fe (Sunshine Dizon), could actually be attacked in a manner bordering on camp. Sure, there is still the touch of melodrama which veteran director Joel Lamangan is known for but most of the time you just can't help but suppress giggles.

A love that is all-encompassing means you love what the love of your life loves, even if it is another person

We are not strangers to love. One of the hardest persons to love is a cult leader. His people love him so much to the point of obsession and you being so close would be subject to to scrutiny, always. Gossips would fester and most likely a normal person would end up leaving in tears. You would always have to adust because that is his world. But, what if his world is another person?

See, the song that would perfectly paint the Rainbow's Sunset scenario is Hati na Lang Tayo sa Kanya sung by Eumee and JC Santos because ultimately, the real rainbow of this story is Sylvia, whose pot of gold lies in just loving indefinitely. Gloria Romero's portrayal of this character might net her the MMFF 2018 Best Actress Awards.

Why should you watch this? So you can see what a love which defies conventions truly is.

Aside from the abovementioned cast members, Jim Pebanco, Sue Prado, Ross Pesigan, Marcus Madrigal, and Tanya Gomez play major support roles in tje fipm.

Isa sa mahalagang mensahe niyang Pasko ang "get into the spirit of giving".

To be announced pa ang official homecoming ng newly crowned Miss Universe 2018.

This is a developing story.

Si Carl Mauricio (JC de Vera) and one great love ni Zyra.

"Dito sa pelikula, tinatackle naming lahat when it comes to love...kung paano ka magmahal. Ibibigay mo ba talaga lahat?"

Showing ang film bilang isang MMFF official entry on December 25 in cinemas nationwide. Para sa karagdagang updates, follow Regal Entertainment Inc. on Facebook and Youtube, @RegalFilms on Twitter, @RegalFilms50 on Instagram.

Sinabi rin niyang perfectionist ang binata at kailangang pulido ang eksena at dialogues before maging good take.

Kasama rin nila sa cast sina Tirso Cruz III, Ryza Cenon, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Baeby Baste, at marami pang iba.

Sen. Nancy Binay Launches Collab Book "Make Love Not War" with Senyora

Sen. Nancy Binay takes a break from legislation duties as she wears the writer hat to share her tips on surviving social media in the latest ABS-CBN Publishing book "Make Love Not War," a collaboration with social media celebrity/parody Senyora Santibanez.

"You need this book to arm you with the basics of surviving in social media. Senyora and I collaborated to help you save your sanity and credibility in dealing with social media bashing. You can have it my way (cool and calm) or Senyora's way (tough love with care). This time, we're BFF promoting love and not war," wrote the senator in the book's foreword.

The book is a fun read for all those active online, as according to Senyora, every little thing becomes a big deal and people feel that everything is about them in the world of social media. You have to “sign up at your own risk,” she stressed.

Readers can find out the 10 basic rules online in the book from Sen. Nancy. “Don’t share whatever issue you have with another person. Deal with it face to face. Do not air your dirty laundry in public and don’t use social media as your battleground,” she pointed out.

Sen. Nancy and Senyora also included several tips to survive social media bullying. “It’s not the end of the world if you get bashed on social media. Go out, reach out to your real friends,” the female senator suggested.

She also recommended to just laugh bashing off. “Appreciate their effort. I’m happy especially when they make memes of me. When you think about it, it’s more than an hour of their time!”

Senyora, meanwhile, highlights the five types of enemies every social media user has online—the debtors, virtual enemies/ keyboard warriors, frenemies, relatives, and exes—which she said to all counter with love.

The hilarious collab also features some of the senator’s musings, the happiness checklist—a special appreciation activity—and also the wit challenge featuring the authors’ answers to several exciting questions.

Learn the art of thriving in social media with “Make Love Not War” by Sen. Nancy and Senyora, now available in leading bookstores nationwide for only P185.  For updates, follow @abscbnpr on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram or visitwww.abscbnpr.com.

Credible studies show na isa itong "revolutionary fat buster". Pwede itong idilute na agad sa cold water just like your normal powdered juice.
