Andrea Brillantes showed that she is just more than a pretty actress who got lucky when she started her television career via Annaliza in 2013, which led to her win in the 27th PMPC Star Awards for TV as the Best Child Actress. Starting in 2016, she became a social media sensation via the platform Musical.ly and she also started doing make-up vlogs as well as exploring her career as a musician via track releases on Spotify.
In Kadenang Ginto, she plays Marga Bartolome, daughter to Dimples Romana's character Daniela Mondragon, who is a woman who won't stop until she gets what she wants. Marga and Cassie Mondragon (Francine Diaz) are caught in the crossfire as Daniela clashes with Cassie's mom, Romina Andrada-Mondragon (Beauty Gonzales) as both women are in love with one man, Carlos (Adrian Alandy).
This is Dimples' comeback in a villain role which is a total contrast to her role as a priestess in her last Kapamilya teleserye which was Bagani. She only has good things to say about Andrea even though she hasn't shot any major scenes with her yet aside from the trailer. "Napamagalang na bata. As you can see, she's great in the trailer."
Another major role is Robert Mondragon played by Albert Martinez. He is the boss of Romina and the father of Daniela. The supporting cast include Susan Africa, Ronnie Lazaro, Kyle Echarri, Luke Conde, Paul Cariño, Kim Molina, Adrian Lindayag, Kat Galang, and Ruby Ruiz.
This Kapamilya Gold teleserye is directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng and Avel Sunpongco. IOt started airing yesterday, October 8.
