Nadia shares 50 budget-friendly family recipes in “Have I Cooked For You?”
Local celebs reveal their favorite food in new cookbook
Nadia Montenegro is known for her mouth-watering dishes, which she often shares with her co-stars and yet, it is only this year that she gets the chance to finally collate her heirloom recipes and other favorites in a cookbook entitled “Have I Cooked For You?”
“These recipes will always be a reminder of all the great conversations, lessons, laughter and love we had at home on our dining table,” said the actress, who started her YouTube cooking vlog last year with Cucina ni Nadia.
The mother of eight children, who is also into professional cooking and catering services, is very excited to share her ABS-CBN Books passion project.
“I always knew that cooking with my heart would lead me to fulfilling my dreams. Sharing 50 love-filled recipes with all of you,” raved Nadia, who divided the book into three parts—family, friends, and big groups recipes.
Included in her family favorites are Potchero, a favorite of “Playhouse” actor Carlo Aquino, and Beef Steak A la Nadia which Robin Padilla swears by.
Among her recipes for friends are Callos, a favorite of “Magandang Buhay” momshie Karla Estrada; Cream Cheese Marinara with Homemade Pesto, an extraordinary meal for “The General’s Daughter” actor JC de Vera; and Binagoongang Baboy sa Gata, one of the many recipes she cooked for close friend Arlene Muhlach.
The cookbook likewise includes her favorite repertoire for big groups. “Cooking for 20-30 pax will always be a norm to me. With a huge family, tons of friends, and since my home is open 24/7 for everyone, it is a must I always have something ready for anyone, anytime,” she revealed.
Nadia formally launched her book last February 9 (Saturday) at National Book Store Trinoma. Discover her cooking in ABS-CBN Books’ “Have I Cooked For You?,” now available in leading bookstores nationwide for only P250.
