Never Not Love You Starring Jadine Reminds Us That Compromise is a Component of Real Love

"Kung hindi talaga siya magwowork, meron talagang kailangan isacrifice," said Nadine Lustre, the other half of the loveteam Jadine together with James Reid. On Black Saturday, their romance film, Never Not Love You (NNLY) touted as their most daring to date, will open in cinemas nationwide. The film produced by Viva and Project 8 corner San Joaquin is directed by Antoinette Jadaone and Graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board.

"Sometimes to grow, you need to grow apart," said James in relation to the film characters' journey. He plays Gio, a freelancer into graphic design. Nadine plays Joanne who works as a management trainee up for promotion in an ad agency.

The ultimate test to their relationship comes when each of them tries to cope with having a career and finds that time is not always a friend to people in love.

The theme song of their movie titled Prom, performed by Jadine, is an Ebe Dancel original, and has been uploaded on Youtube a few days ago.

On working with Antoinette Jadaone

"With Direk Tonette, she's really young so we get along pretty well. And, she likes to collaborate with artists. She always asks us what we think about the characters especially dito sa Never Not Love You, so much of the scenes are improv so we really have to collaborate," said James Reid.

Nadine then added that it's different compared to their work on the teleserye On The Wings of Love since the female director is more meticulous here.

The future of Jadine

James Reid will be doing Pedro Penduko which will also be under Viva Films in partnership with Epik Studios. He also confirmed just a few days ago that Nadine will also have a role in the film. The latter is part of a new suspense-thriller film.

NNLY is their comeback movie.

A fun season awaits at The Lisa Macuja School of Ballet Manila for Summer Intensives 2018! The only school with direct links to the Russian Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia opens its doors yet again for another memorable summer with classes that are fun, challenging, and taught only by the best in the country.

At the Lisa Macuja School of Ballet Manila, students will get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be taught by the Prima Ballerina and Artistic Director and CEO Lisa Macuja-Elizalde herself alongside Co-Artistic Director Osias Barroso and other Vaganova-trained teachers.

Start your journey with Ballet Manila this summer—there are classes for every age and skill level, from the “little ones with big dreams” all the way to the ones who are ready to go pro!
The Creative Movement class (open for ages 3-5) makes ballet engaging and fun for the little ones through the help of props and play materials. To keep the fun going, the Twinkle Toes class (open for ages 5-6) is the perfect introduction for classical ballet for young kids.

It’s all about ballet basics for Level 1B-Beginner (open for ages 6-10). Whether the student has experience or not, this class is the springboard for classical ballet education. For those with previous ballet experience, the Level 1A-Advanced (open for ages 6-10) class will challenge the students to get more serious with their training.

It’s time to take the pointe shoes out for the Level 2B-Beginner class (open for ages 11-14). And for those who already know how to dance in pointe, the Level 2A-Advanced class (open for ages 11-14) will introduce the student to a world of turns, jumps, and balance with combinations.

Students in Level 3 (open for those with previous ballet experience and intermediate pointe work) are those who are preparing for a professional career in ballet. Lessons go beyond ballet technique, as artistic expression is encouraged.
PliƩ and pirouette your way to fitness in the Adult Summer Program, open for ages 18 and above. Ballet Manila has created a novel program perfect for those who want to improve their coordination and posture, develop musicality, and strengthen their muscles in a unique way. This class is open for those with or without previous ballet training. Another good fitness alternative is the Yoga-lates class, which is a combination of yoga, mat Pilates, and floor barre.

Ballet Manila offers more than just classical ballet. Prospective students can avail of the Modern Ballet and Street Dance classes that are also being offered.

“We’re looking forward to another fun summer ahead, and we’re excited to impart our knowledge not only of the Vaganova technique, but of our discipline and artistry. We hope to meet a lot of new faces this year, and we promise an unforgettable summer!,” Lisa announces.

Enrollment for The Lisa Macuja School of Ballet Manila Summer Intensives 2018 is ongoing, and classes will be from April 2 to May 20 at both Pasay and Quezon City branches. For more information, visit www.balletmanila.com.ph.

Lance Raymundo, Mas Sexy ang Loincloth Bilang Jesus Christ sa Martir sa Golgota 2018

"People got inspired so in my own human way, yung gusto ko mangyari na maspread yung mensahe ni Jesus...nagawa ko...through the chain of events," sabi ni Lance Raymundo matapos mabring-up ang aksidente niya dati sa isang gym.

So, all I have to do, to be an effective Christ, is embrace my humanity. kaya yung ginawa ko, I became more of a people person."

Rosa, Laguna. Si Ivy Violan ang gaganap na Virgin Mary.

Cecilia, A Ballet About Women's Abuse, Goes Onstage at Benilde This March 23 and 24

Cecilia
March 23 and 24 (1:00 PM and 7:00 PM)
Php 200.00
Black Box, 6th  Floor
Benilde School of Design and Arts,
950 Pablo Ocampo St., Manila

Directed by Ana OpeƱa
Choreography by  Ana OpeƱa, John Gamboa and Pope Villanueva
Written by Pope Villanueva

Cecilia, a dance thesis by Ana OpeƱa, is a portrayal of the harsh realities that women face - abuse in its multifaceted forms and how it affects their mental, physical and emotional development. The play follows how the titular character, Cecilia, reacts to the problems she encounters. The show not only aims to highlight various societal issues, but also explores the multiple root causes of these issues.

Cecilia follows the story of a young girl, born to a happy and caring family. However, with her mother’s passing, everything changed and her father turned abusive. Cecilia tried to endure this sudden change in her atmosphere. She decided she had enough when he went  over the edge and attempted to force himself on her. Homeless, helpless, and hopeless, Cecilia turned to a highly lucrative, yet physically and emotionally demeaning life - under the guise of waitressing at a local bar in order to survive. A chance encounter with her father years later proves that life gives you the strangest opportunities at the strangest times and that it is in these moments where one can truly define themselves.

The show is part of the final requirement of the Bachelor of Performing Arts, Major in Dance under the tutelage of Denisa Reyes. It opens on the 23rd of March (Friday) at the 6th floor of Benilde’s School of Design and Arts Black Box, and will run until March 24 (Saturday). Showtimes are at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Tickets are priced at Php 200.00 and can be purchased at the booth on the 9th floor elevator lobby of the SDA building or by contacting David Laboy at +639155008396.

1st year anniversary ng dessert place last March 14 at dumalo rito ang malalapit niyang kaibigan in and out of showbiz.

"Bestsellers yung Velvet Cupcake and Oreo Cheesecake," paglalahad niya.

"Maraming artista...even Carlo Aquino pumunta dito, kumakain.

Ang Hazelberry Cafe ay mayroon ding branch sa The Yard Food Park in Angeles City Pampanga (cakes only).

Scottie Thompson Wants to Take on Both Ginebra and Icy Cool Shake

Who steers Scottie's career?

Sa mga endorsements, si Nap [Gutierrez], nagmamanage siya sa akin," said Scottie Thompson, a young basketball MVP who signed his first endorsement for Icy Cool Shake, a business owned by female entrepreneur Icy Mendoza. When asked if it's conflicting with the brand he's playing for, he actually smiled and said that "it's a perfect match."

Earl Scottie Carreon Thompson hails from Davao Del Sur and has been fondly dubbed by basketball fans and experts alike as the "best offensive rebound point guard since Jaworski." Icy Cool Shake, on the other hand, is available in 18 flavors, with taro and buko pandan as its bestsellers.

On their company website icycoolshake.com.ph, the franchising options are outlined. The franchise fee of PhP80,000 excludes the regular food cart package which costs PhP180,000. The latter comes with the following: semi high-end built cart (not collapsible), heavy duty blender, ice crusher, chest cooler, containers, utensils and wares, initial inventory, crew uniform, video training and operations manual, costing and pricing, and e-loading business (optional). The mall kiosk type package is at PhP230,000.

Bibeth Orteza on being the new Tofarm Film Festival Director: "Direk Maryo cannot be replaced."

"I am not comfortable talaga with saying I am replacing Direk Maryo J. delos Reyes because Direk Maryo cannot be replaced. I am just here to continue his vision and his good sense of advocacy for the farmers," said director-thespian Bibeth Orteza, who was announced as the new Tofarm Film Festival Director last March 14, at the press conference held in Makati Shangri-la Hotel.

She admits being inspired by the story of Maricel Cariaga, the latter a real farmer who directed her film with a grant from Tofarm and won international awards, even getting a Chinese distribution. "It's inspiring because here is somebody from that economic class...anak ng magsasaka....at yung kaalaman at experience niya as a member of the farming community inaapply niya doon sa kanyang pelikula." She also mentioned that she has some relatives in Samar who belong to the agricultural industry.

Now on its third year, Tofarm Film Festival will also have veteran director Joey Romeo on board as a consultant. The theme for this year is Tribute to Life, Parating Na. Speaking of life, Bibeth Orteza has been enjoying a worry-free life for 14 years since that's how long ago her cancer went into remission.

The festival which is produced by Universal Harvester Inc. under Dr. Milagros O. How will be held from Sept. 12 to 18 this year. Right now they are still accepting entries. The seed money for the seven chosen finalists is PhP1.5 million. Winner of the Best Picture will get an additional PhP500,000 and a trophy while the 2nd Best Film will get PhP400,000 and a trophy.

A new addition this year is the short film category as well as the Maryo J. Delos Reyes Special Award which will merit the winner PhP300,000 and a trophy.

"Last year po [2017], nandito rin kami, October 4.

Yung FB group nila na RYCB Forever ay may 6,160 members as of writing.

Star-Studded Bagani Thanksgiving Presscon has All Beaming with Pride

Last March 15 (Thursday), members of the different tribes of Sansinukon trooped to the Dolphy Theater for the thanksgiving presscon. All the lead stars Enrique Gil, Matteo Guidicelli, Sofia Andres, Makisig Morales, and Liza Soberano were present.

The highlight of this coming week is the fight among Sansinukob's five tribes. Lila (Ana Abad Santos), the mother of Lakas (Enrique Gil), got threatened by Dakil (Christian Vasquez) so Lakas had to resort to betraying Ganda (Liza Soberano), leading to the desert region taking over the farm region.

The trade region, meanwhile, was about to conquer the farm region when the former found out that it had already been invaded by the desert region. Lakas opted to stage a fake rescue instead, making them the heroes in the eyes of the farmers.

On the other hand, a misunderstanding occurred between the forest and sea regions, stirred by the taga-kalakal, causing the two to fight each other.

As all the chaos happened, the deity of Sansinukob, Apo (Diether Ocampo) and his brother Sarimaw (Ryan Eigenmann), watched over them.

Will Lakas have the chance to explain his side to Ganda? Which tribes will win the battles? What will Apo and Sarimaw do after the battles among the tribes?

Don't miss Bagani, weeknights after FPJ's Ang Probinsyano on ABS-CBN or ABS-CBN HD (Skycable ch. 167). Catch up on the show's latest episodes on iWanTV or skyondemand.com.ph for Sky subscribers. For more updates, follow @starcreatives on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
