The musical-variety program introduced 11 talented new kids to the media last September 27. They played games with the press and the parents were glad to cheer them on as they ran around Max's restaurant, toyed with balloons, and used their wit to win the prizes.
The kiddie crew includes Roshan, Sofia, Ken Lexter, Chichi, Khail, Elaine, Lovely, Carren, Xylia, Patrick, Porscha, Shane, Jazmine, Viana, Stanley, Jazmine, Alliah, Angelo, Ghelo, Suejin, Saijin, and a whole lot more. The launch was facilitated by GMA artist Chariz Solomon.
One of the memorable questions during the interaction portion was who is the Kapuso artist the kids idolized. The top answers were Alden Richards, Maine Mendoza, and Kyline Alcantara. When asked regarding a Topps Sarap flavor they want to make in the future, their answers were so different from one another. "Ako po, strawberry po, para kakaiba po," said Ria. Other flavors mentioned were mint, vanilla, grapes, cookies n' cream, mango, green apple, and avocado. 7 kids chose strawberry, with the most creative reason being, "Kasi po singtamis bng pagmamahal namin sa inyo."
The new set of ToppStar kids will showcase their singing, dancing, hosting, and acting prowess via the show's second season starting this Saturday, October 9, 9:15am, on GMA 7.
