WITHDRAWAL FROM JURY DUTY AT MMFF 2020

I've withdrawn from jury duty in MMFF 2020, as my wife and son are in the cast of one of the entries, Magikland. Even if I abstain from voting in the acting categories, my participation in the other non-acting categories would still raise questions about my interest in pushing one entry because it includes two family members in the cast. 

In all fairness to the MMFF, I had erred in accepting the request to sit as juror when it was made within the last week. I'd been busy on other projects and didn't recall I had two family members in the cast of an entry. Upon realization of this awkward situation, I think it is wrong to compound an error (accepting the assignment in the first place) with another one (staying on). Hence, this decision. 

I regret the inconvenience and awkwardness this could cause or has caused the MMFF, and wish the MMDA, the fest’s other organizers, and all film entries only the best for this festival.

My Extraordinary Pinoy BL Launches Poster

Asterisk Digital Entertainment revs up its high gear as it released the official posters of MY EXTRAORDINARY, the 1st BL (Boys Love) series on Philippine TV, starring Darwin Yu (Shake) & Enzo Santiago (Ken). This 8-episode series is directed by Jolo Atienza, written by Vincent DeJesus and produced by AsterisK Digital Entertainment.

KarJon at KaoRhys, Good or Bad Para sa 'The Four Bad Boys and Me'?

Hindi surprising kasi aminado naman Ang writer na inspired ito ng 'Boys Over Flowers', the material which actually inspired 'Meteor Garden'.

Bakas ang sincerity sa mukha ni Tina Lata aka Blue Maiden of Wattpad during the cast reveal ng 'The Four Bad Boys and Me' na isinagawa niya sa kanyang Youtube channel. Very satisfied siya sa casting decision ng Star Cinema, na magproproduce nitong experimental genre which is a lovecast.

In connection with this, siyempre may hatak ito sa Kpop and Kdrama fans nung portrayers. Sa Youtube channel ni Polar Light na may fanmade music video trailer ng Wattpad series ay nakahatak ito ng 708K views. So, may hope naman kahit papaano na lumagpas ng half a million views at least ang stream nila sa Youtube.

I-add pa natin ang factor na though about half of the main cast have no active Youtube account, kapag sinearch mo ang names nila, eto ang pinakamaraming views na nakuha nila: PBB Otso Teens collectively (including KaoRhys and Karjon) 5.2M, Maymay Entrata (10M), and Chie Filomeno (850K).

Sa kanilang lahat ay si Maymay lang ang me pag-asang makahatak sa Spotify given that she has released songs which has performed well. She has a modest above 50K monthly listeners there and Kakayanin Kaya got 3.5M streams..

Ang kaibahan kasi ng Spotify ay mas maganda ang engagement-followers ratio dun. Ang worst streamed na ni Maymay ay ang 'I Love You 2', na nasa 19k, more than a third of her following.

So, set aside the confusing numbers na nilapag ko and focus on my prediction. TFBBAM will have at least half a million streams minimum and 5M maximum during its first week sa Youtube. It will finally being the subscriber base of Star Cinema sa Youtube from 2.8M to 3M.

Sa Facebook ng Star Cinema, it can go from 1M to 3M in a week. Mas madali kasing madistract ang mga tao sa FB kaya mababa ang maximum potential dito though I think mas mabilis tataas ang views dito in the 24-hour period.

Sa Spotify ay swerte na na maka-50k ito. I hope talaga na iconsider ng Star Cinema na i-utilize ang IGTV kasi even ang fashion show ng Gucci ay inistream dito.

Yes. I think this material will be a success. Added factor din na ang director nito na si Joel Ferrer ay may indie following somewhat so it would also make the people with finer taste in pop culture curious aside from the "bakya" and teenage crowd.

Janella Salvador Tulfo Ang Bagsak Dahil sa PA

Ang recent na updates kay Janella ay ang interview niya sa Star Cinema Youtube channel about sa blossoming friendship nila ni Joshua Garcia. Nagtrending din ang hashtag na may JEA gawa ng fans niya ma gusto siyang palabasin ng bahay kasi marahil ay miss na siya so unexpected talaga ang kaganapang ito.

Chineck ko din ang Youtube page ni Buknoy para iverify ang claims niya na wala siyang bagong upload since pumutok ang issue. 4 days ago ang issue. 2 days ago ay may inupload siya na video titled GRABE NAMAN YUNG LOOK NATO NAKAKAINSPIRE TRY MO PANUORIN TEH with 609K views. 5.5k likes at 49K ang dislikes ng video. Since 10 minutes ito, sabihin na nating 6 minutes nanood ang mga tao, so, mga 40k to 50k ang kikitain niya with this single video.

Dahil nga rin sa mataas na views na inupload ni MG with Buknoy ay posibleng mahila ito pataas, so di malabong imbes na 50K lang ang kitain ni Buknoy with this one video ay 100K na.

Marlou Man o Xander Ford, Kalarapist Ayon Kay Makagago

In Memory of Boy Roque Gets Close to 300K Views on the Jace Roque YouTube Channel

People die.That is a fact. In the time of COVID-19 where your loved one can fade away suddenly, morbid as it may sound, those who had love ones pass away before the enhanced community quarantine are the lucky ones.

April 10, 2020 is a day to remember for Jace Roque and his family. His uncle, seasoned stuntman and character actor Boy Roque, passes away due to heart failure on this date last year. The singer-actor refers to him as the relative who had the most impact on his showbiz career.

This was the reason behind the video tribute, 'In Memory of Boy Roque', he uploaded on his YouTube channel last September 2019. It initially had around 20,000 views but just last month, the views skyrocketed to 286,000.

The video mainly focused on the highlights of Rosauro Daniel "Boy" Roque's wake, wherein some familiar faces like Roi Vinzon, Rez Cortez, Joyce Vernal, etc. delivered eulogies for their deceased co-worker.

Viewers were quick to identify Boy as the mute in Valiente, as well as a frequent goon in several hit action movies of the 90s. They also identified him with several FPJ films particularly as the leader of the assassin military group 'Hindi Pa Tapos Ang Laban".

Jace says Boy was more than a godfather or an uncle to him. In fact, he describes Boy as a second father. Growing up, Jace would often turn to Boy for comfort or help whenever he had problems. In terms of showbiz, he was Jace’s number-one fan—and then some.

“He was my mentor. He served as my backer, booking agent and unofficial manager, among other things. By showing me the ropes, he basically made me the artist I am today. He taught me that in this industry, it’s important to work very hard. Although he was always supportive of me, he made it clear that I shouldn’t just rely on him or any of my relatives to pave the way for me.”

Boy did over 100 films before his passing, including Nadine Lustre’s Ulan. He also did plenty of TV work. He worked on ABS-CBN’s 'Ang Probinsyano' and 'The General’s Daughter' as a fight and stunt director, and appeared on camera for GMA-7’s 'My Love From the Star', 'That’s My 
Amboy', and 'Victor Magtanggol'. Although Boy played kontrabida roles, Jace remembers him as a akind and loving man, contrary to his onscreen image.

Jace admits that his family is still coming to terms with his uncle’s passing.

“The past year still feels like a dream. None of us were prepared for it. It was really sudden. One day he was alive and kicking and the next day he was gone.”

Jace is an independent artist whose songs have earned 2 million total streams across all platforms. That number says a lot about his drive, as well as his talent (he arranges, produces, and writes his own material). He recently released a new single titled “Forever.” Jace says the thought that Boy is looking down on him gives him strength.

“I want to believe that he’s proud of what I have achieved. Before he passed away, we had so many plans. He was going to help me book roles in movies, TV shows, and even sign a record deal with a major label. All that disappeared when he passed. It felt like the end of my showbiz journey, but through his guidance and God’s grace, I was able to get back up and keep going. I’m thankful that even in death he still looks after me.”

Wanderland 2020 Postponed Na-Lost Dahil sa COVID-19

Nitong nakaraang weekend dapat ang Wanderland 2020, isang music festival kung saan headliners ang IV Spades, sina Bruno Major, No Rome, Joji, Niki, Foals, Nick Murphy, atbp.

Hindi natuloy ng March 7 and 8 ang event na organized by Karpos Multimedia dahil nga sa Filinvest City Event Grounds dapat ang venue at dahil nga sa confirmed COVID-19 case sa area ay may advisory ang City Government of Muntinlupa patungkol sa huwag muna pagdadaos ng malaking events in compliance with the World Health Organization safety standards.

Ang announcement ay inilabas sa Facebook page pati na rin sa website nila na www.wanderlandfestival.com. Halos buo na rin nila ang stage kaya medyo nakapanghihinayang na nangyari ito. Inassure nila ang publiko na ang refund process pati ang update sa rescheduling ay ipopost nila soon.

Susundan ng “Fluid” ang makulay na buhay ni Mitch (Roxanne), na susubukang mag-move 

on matapos lokohin at saktan ng ex-boyfriend. 

Kahit hindi pa nagkakarelasyon sa isang babae, susubukang makipag-date ni Mitch (Roxanne) sa mga babae matapos makumbinsi ng mga kaibigan. 

Kahit na bigo sa una, makikilala niya si George (Ann Colis), isang proud na lesbian na b bubuksanang isipan ni Mitch at ipapadama sa kanya ang saya at suportang hindi nakuha sa 

dating relasyon. 

Ngunit manganganib na maudlot ang pagtitinginan ng dalawa dahil papasok sa eksena ang ex-boyfriend ni Mitch na si Jacob (Joross Gamboa) para makipa-ayos.

Patawarin kaya ni Mitch ang si Jacob at makikipagbalikan ditto, o pipiliin niya ba si George, ang babaeng muling nagpatibok ng kanyang puso? 

Ang “Fluid” ay isa na namang handog mula sa direktor na si Benedict Mique, ang nagdirek din ng “MOMOL Nights,” ang pinakapinanood na iWant original movie.

experiences we have while passing time. Although waiting is often seen as an
inconvenience, Seconds and Minutes challenges the

audience to view their waiting experience as something more pleasant.
