Photos and article by Gracie Corrales

A romcom and a musical? Why not? My Guitar Princess will add a new flavor to your lunchtime pastime. Its pilot episode will air on May 7, before Eat Bulaga. My Guitar Princess is a refreshing take on how a girl pursues her dreams despite all the obstacles.

Julie Anne San Jose who plays Celina, the show's protagonist, said she really enjoyed doing this teleserye, since its lighter compared to her previous projects under the same network. She also gets to do her first love which is singing.
At the recently concluded blogcon, Director Nick Olanka and the cast of My Guitar Princess excitedly shared their joyous experience on set and how each of them were able to relate their characters.

A glimpse of the teleserye was shown during the event. Viewers of all ages will definitely enjoy watching this show and they will have something to relate to.

Julie Anne shares the screen with Kiko Estrada and Gil Cuerva, the latter two being Celina’s love interests. This teleserye doesn’t revolve on their love triangle alone but as well as Celina’s relationship with her mother Adele who is played by Ms. Sheryl Cruz. Adele’s backstory is something interesting to look forward to.

Also part of the cast are Kier Legaspi, Maey Bautista, Frank Garcia Jazz Ocampo and child star Venice Bismonte who will play young Celina. My Guitar Princess will also release new songs every week which will highlight that week’s episode. They will be featured on the My Guitar Princess Youtube channel. This is not a mediocre teleserye. It is indeed an artistic
blend of music and acting and it will surely entice Filipino viewers.
